Usui Reiki--- Classes in Arizona Mikao Usui developed (or, as some say, rediscovered) Reiki in Japan in the early 20th Century. The unbelievable results he achieved and the methods he designed for channeling this gentle healing and relaxation technique awarded him the respect of his students and colleagues, as noted on a memorial erected in his honor which still stands today in Japan. This gift that this talented and treasured man brought to the world is what we in the West refer to as Usui Reiki. Everything is made of energy, no matter how solid the appearance. Reiki simply, yet amazingly, raises the energetic vibration, encouraging healing on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual basis. The presence of Reiki energy in our energetic bodies, or auras, allows the recipient to deeply, meditatively relax in such a way that the body's natural healing response can take over. The Reiki "Master" is not the healer. The so-called master is simply a facilitator, nothing more. The Healer is within all of us and yet is greater than any of us individuals. So who actually does the healing? Divinely guided energy, of which there is an infinite supply. The Reiki energy encourages and facilitates more rapid healing of body, mind, and spirit by raising the energy frequency of a person's physical and subtle energy bodies, transforming the negativity in the body. I became a teacher of Reiki because I understood how a personal commitment to self can create the most powerful changes, the most dramatic differences in one's health, mental state, and emotional stability. To be able to pass on the ability to practice Reiki has been unbelievably rewarding. I am honored to share this gift. Authors Bronwen and Frans Stiene write of Usui's true intention with developing a healing art form in The Japanese Art of Reiki, an intention essentially to help others help themselves: "The basic premise of this method is that healing exists within each person, not outside, and therefore the essence of the teachings is self-practice. The ultimate healing tool is the practitioner's own dedication to healing the self: another can never give this depth of healing." |
| Reiki Classes: Reiki I- Learn the history of Mikao Usui and his method known in the West as Reiki, the use and movement of Reiki in the West, introduction to the hara center, description of Ki and the Three Diamonds. Use and awareness of auras and chakras relevant to your Reiki practice, meditation, breath, and prayers to facilitate channeling the energy. Explanation of and preparation for attunement. Hand positions given as a guiding tool. Bless your healing space or home for Reiki sessions. After instruction and break for lunch, attunements are done. Hands-on practice time. Prepare for Reiki II with brief discussion of Reiki II symbols. Full day class. Class book included for I & II. Reiki II- New energy levels are introduced, facilitated with use of symbols and mantras. Symbols are involved as a way of channeling stronger specific energies. Receiving these new energies & symbols during attunement increases the versatility of your Reiki practice. In-depth discussion on the many possible uses of these new levels of energy, and how to incorporate them daily, immediately. Reiki with drumming or crystals. Attunements prepare your body for the channeling of these stronger energies. Instruction and discussion on long-distance Reiki are utilized. Practice time allowed. Certification given for I and II. ***I have found a tremendously beneficial impact on my students who have taken Reiki I and II the same weekend, which has led me to now offer Reiki I and II as a full weekend training rather than splitting them into classes offered on different weekends. I will still make exceptions for those who are led to take only I or only II, but ask you to consider doing the full training weekend. Reiki Master/Teacher- Learn the versatility of the Master symbol, the usage of this advancement in energy, learn the attunement process, with time to practice attunement on others. In-depth instruction given on Reiki healing with sound, crystals and stones, chakra energy, and meditation. Five new symbols explored during this powerful training. I also recommend, as part of your training, coming back to a I and II class, or even another Master class, as a teacher-in-training to help you develop your teaching skills. Multiple attunements and certification given. One evening and two full days. Option of extra class attendance. Continued training if necessary. Confidence is a must before passing on this beautiful method to others. Class involves instruction with Eastern-based philosophy, experimenting with different pranayamic teachings, meditative styles, and experiencing guided meditation. Homework given to help establish an at-home practice. Offered both as individual and group instruction. Chakra/Energy Classes Experimenting with the energy flow through the 7 main chakras helps one to understand the movement of ki/prana/life force energy within the body. Imbalances in the chakras can involve excessive or deficient energy flow, often with rather predictable, even obvious dysfunctions. Discovering how dysfunction can create habitual thought patterns and unhealthy physical tendencies is a big step in healing with awareness, mindfulness. Discussion, practices including meditations, stone/crystal work, movement, and use of sound are all employed in this 4-part series. Reiki Shares/Healing Circles Shares are a wonderful way to receive Reiki, when you are so often the giver. People new to Reiki are welcome, but spaces may be limited so please call to confirm an RSVP when Reiki Shares are planned. I will also put info here on other shares I am aware of. Past Life Regression Using past life regression as a healing tool can have a powerful impact on self-discovery. Hypnosis designed to lead the participant back to previous existences can be extremely revealing in creating self-understanding and acceptance, both of self and others. Integrating past life lessons into this life experiences is beneficial on all levels, from physical issues being released, to mental patterns being understood and dissipating. Nomadic Reiki Hiking Hiking in the breathtaking Southwest! Hikes may be scheduled anywhere in Arizona, with the intention of reconnecting to nature in the best "church" on Mother Earth, the great outdoors. During hiking, walking meditations will be facilitated and spiritual discussions to occur throughout the hike. Hiking in nature requires preparation. You will be responsible for your water, proper clothing, and physical ability and safety on the rugged terrain of the various anticipated hikes. Be responsible! If you are not comfortable with the exertion required for hiking, please contact me to discuss easier walks we can arrange so the walking meditations may be done during a more suitable level of activity. (On hold during summer months.) Hospital Visits I have had many inquiries regarding the need for hospital visits and Reiki. Reiki is becoming more and more commonplace in hospitals, allowing patients and their families to discover a healing and relaxation technique that assists the recovery process, resulting in shorter recovery time, less pain medication, less toxicity or side effects to medications, less post-operative depression. Studies have repeatedly supported these claims, which is why an increasing number of health care workers are becoming Reiki practitioners. I offer hospital visits, with some time and travel restrictions, due to my schedule. Hypnotherapy and Reiki Combined Combining two amazing healing methods in order to achieve deep relaxation, guidance of mental patterns or habits, and release of what no longer serves you. Enjoy nearly two hours of this tandem session of both Reiki's natural, divine healing energy and hypnotherapy, to reduce the mental habits that lock in dis-ease and mental disturbances. Angel Card Readings I've developed my own technique for reading Virtue Angel cards that has been extremely helpful to myself and others. This is a service I offer, both in person and over the phone.
